Grey Wolf
Mobile and web solution for sales and branding of ecological clothing start up.
This was my first university’s group project where me and my group member Naomi were to develop a proposal for a start up company that designs organic clothing targeted at modern young people. We were to develop a proposal for how to run their business as an e— shop (design Visual and technical proposals for overall communication plan)
1.Problem Definition
We defined the problem.
Gray Wolf is an ecological closing start up company that requires a mobile and web solution for sales and branding. The company has no established branding and hence needs both visual and technical help, as well as an overall communication plan. This project will propose how Grey Wolf can run their business as an e-shop.
2. Communication Brief
We created a communication brief where we research companies competition and target group, possible content, context and effect. Drawing from research we chose to create visual identity for an organic hemp closing start up.
3. Customer Persona
For the next step I created a Customer Persona to determine potential consumer and her shopping behaviour.
4. Time Plan
To efficiently manage our time we created a time plan.
5. Typography, Color scheme and Logo design
Development of logo and choice of color schemes and typography was individual work.
I chose Montserrat font for me and text, as it is easy to read. Great Vibes font to emphasize and stylized some headings. And high contrast font Charlemagne Std is used for stamps to make them stand out.
I used light colors which connote the lightness and naturalness of the fabric. Light mint, white and beige colors create a neutral background and allows the products to stand out. Also the light colors makes the brighter colored call to action buttons more noticeable, thus directing user where to click.
During the logo design process I experimented and created few logos for Grey Wolf. I wanted the logo to be very simple and clean. After a user survey I choose a logo to represent the company.
6. Mobile and web solution.
Development the web and mobile design was an individual work.
Firstly, I created hand drawn wireframes to make sure that the webpage is well build, user friendly and contains all required elements.
Drawing from all data I had gathered, light and user friendly web and mobile solution was created.
